Who we are
We are Beacon and Rebecca Grayson. Dam Kids Ranch is an urban family micro-farm in Southern California, deeply commited to sustainability and "do what you can with what you have!"
We raise exhibition Silkies and Satins, with a focus on Black, White, Self Blue, and Chocolate. We have a small collection of Mille Fluer and other fun varieties as well!
We also raise heritage dual purpose large fowl. Our livestock are both our passion and a big part of our comittment to healthy nutrition for our family.
We are members of the APA, ASBC, MGR, the Livestock Conservancy and The Good Shepherd Conservancy.
What we make
We import, package and sell Fortiflock Chinese Skullcap extract - a game changing treatment for common viruses that decimate backyard and commercial flocks alike.
We first heard of Chinese Skullcap and baicalin from a friend when we were going through some health issues in our own flocks. After studying the clinical research and the work of folks developing treatment protocols and realizing how important this treatment is for breeders and pet flock owners, we decided to take the plunge and become part of the solution, and Fortiflock was born.

Beacon
Chicken Officer and Fence Builder
Founder and inventor of most of the crazy ideas, and principle chicken hoarder. Responsible for anything that requires the use of power tools or spreadsheets.
Rebecca
VP of Operations (ALL of them)
Rebecca is the one who really runs the farm. She is up every day checking babies, watering plants, spraying down runs in the heat, packing orders, and feeding the buns. She keeps this place going!
Autumn
Farm Mom and Medical Officer
Burn your hand? Get bitten by flies? Get pecked by a rude rooster? Autumn as a salve for that! She makes sure we all have sunscreen and are hydrating adequately.
Beckett
Head Capsule Maker and Feed Distribution Coordinator
Beckett has been known to move 300 lbs of feed in 105 degrees, and can always be relied on to keep the coop fans on in summer. They make all the Critical Support capsules by hand!
The Dam Kids
Certified Minions of Mayhem
There are 5 human kids on the property at all times and 8 in the summer who are in charge of general shenanigans. There's always something to do, and always someone to hang out with!

Freya, Schmoo, Sharkey, Burnt Bagel, Tigger, and Cream Cheese manage our rat population with expert paws, and make sure all premium sun spots are occupied year round.
